About - Oily Life 4 Us
Our Story
Oily Life 4 Us is a group of people who are involved and mad crazy in love with essential oils and all things oily. Ok, well.... maybe just the pure goodness that comes in the form of oil and from plants is just so great, we have to share our stories. This is a group for those of us who use essential oils in some way on a daily basis and we want to tell you about it.
Back in 1996, I worked at Hastings Entertainment (like Blockbuster met Barnes n' Noble lol). I came across an aromatherapy book one day at work, shelving books, and something had come over me. I had received a new found love for plants and what they can do for our body. I still have that book today. Since then, I would find interest in all things plants. Researching through different aromatherapy, essential oil books, to online searches for different herbs and their benefits.
However, in 2014 is when I first really dove into the world of essential oils full force. I discovered the benefits each oil and plant had on my body and began studying more on reviews and knowledge from others. How the oils affect other people, not just me.
By word of mouth, and gathering of family & friends, we each started to share our stories of wellness by essential oils on a daily basis. Creating an awareness in our health & discovering support to enhance our life, thus.... Creating... Oily Life 4 Us.
What We Do
We are a support group for the heavily oily!
Here you will find recipes for diffusing, recipes for wellness support, and others talking about their journeys for every plant. Discussions of brands are not allowed. We are not a debate site on who is better. However, most of us invited to this site have used or are using the Young Living brand, and they are the recommended brand for most of us.
We are here to support all oily users, no matter the brand. Browse around, engage in conversations in the forum, to educate, or help educate others on what worked best for your wellness journey, and which aromas brings therapy to your senses.
Our Services
Our services are free. Just conversation and spreading of information about aromatherapy.
There may be some products reviewed or displayed for recommendation purposes. You do not have to purchase anything on the site. (Unless, you want to).
Though we do not care which essential oil brand you use, we do recommend using a company that is trusted & can prove purity in the oils you use. We do not participate in any other brands of essential oils and most of our reviews are of Y.L products.
